In the middle of a trip while taking photos of a waterfall I thought that the mind is always flowing like a waterfall. I thought that the mind could catch up to time, which is also always flowing. And so they could flow together into the uncertain. If a waterfall dries up, does it mean that it is no longer present? Or what has simply stopped running is its river course? And the thing is, if a waterfall wants to be eternal it can find its shelter in the memory of those of us who have looked at it.
"This is the way" is a tool to explore the power of memories and memory as a timeless medium that can evoke and present things that are no longer here; To do this, I reconstructed an imaginary path to a waterfall that has no name and was in the process of drying up, the objects were found and collected along the way, thinking about not making the same mistake as Hansel and Gretel to return to a place. "This" is an affirmation as well as a cardinal point.
En medio de un viaje mientras tomaba fotos a una cascada pensé en que la mente siempre esta fluyendo al igual que una cascada. Pensé en que la mente podría alcanzar al tiempo que siempre esta fluyendo también. Y así podrían juntos fluir a lo incierto. Si una cascada se seca ¿Significa que ha dejado de estar presente? o ¿Qué simplemente ha dejado de correr su curso fluvial? Y es que si una cascada quiere ser eterna solo debe resguardarse en la memoria de quienes la miramos
“Este es el camino” es una herramienta para explorar la potencia de los recuerdos y la memoria como medio atemporal que puede evocar y presentar cosas que ya no están aquí; Para ello reconstruí un camino imaginario a una cascada que no tiene nombre y estaba a punto de secarse, los objetos fueron encontrados y recolectados en el camino pensando así en no cometer el mismo error de Hansel y Gretel para regresar a un lugar. “Este” es una afirmación como también un punto cardinal.
